As a school we want to be courteous, approachable and prompt when responding to concerns, ideas and suggestions from our community. When we are aware of issues or concerns, we can address them and ensure that all those involved feel consulted, valued and heard. Every now and then we hear that a parent or community member has a problem with the school and has expressed their disappointment through social media or through talking to another parent/s. This is a concern for us as sometimes the school may not have been made aware of an issue and therefore cannot address the situation to anyone's satisfaction. Similarly, if we have addressed an issue and have not heard anything further, we may be under the impression that the issue has been resolved. The saying that ‘we don't know what we don't know' applies here. It is always preferable to settle a problem early rather than allow it to escalate into a larger problem. The important message is to talk to us, please keep us informed so we can continue to work together.
