Last Friday, our Aboriginal students hosted a Yarn Up to begin the school's plan for a learning circle.
The students made a range of bush tucker treats for our visitors which included kangaroo sausages, lemon myrtle cheesecake and wattle seed pikelets. The students, their families and our local AECG began important conversations about the planning of the learning circle and its location within the school. Our students did a wonderful job of preparing and cooking the food, as well as offering many valuable contributions to the discussion. We would like to thank our families and our local Itji-Maru AECG representatives for their time and for the suggestions and advice they gave us.
