Professional Learning for Teachers

As you know we are very lucky at Wyee to have an amazing staff of teachers who love their job and are wonderful at it! In order to ensure our staff stays up to date with current programs, knowledge and trends it is vital that staff attend Professional Learning as a part of their development. We understand that parents can see it as disruptive when teachers are off class to attend this Professional Learning however we also hope you understand that it benefits our students and therefore is a vital part of the school. This year, I will be putting staff professional learning in the newsletter so that you are aware if your child's class teacher will be away and what they are attending. Our first Professional Learning event will occur this Wednesday with all Years 3-6 staff off class to plan and program for their classes to ensure consistency across the school. Please note, that if a teacher is off class to attend these meetings, they leave behind work for the replacement teacher and therefore the class program continues as normal.
