Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

At Wyee Public School we offer a range of extra-curricular activities for our students.

Star Struck

Students in Years 4-6 have the opportunity to participate in the creative extravaganza, Star Struck. Our school has been involved in this show for over 20 years.

Star Struck is a fantastic opportunity for our school to showcase creative and performing arts throughout the Hunter Central Coast region with over 105 public schools involved.

Students performing in Star Struck develop and display their passion, creativity, excellence and talents at all levels as musicians, dancers, actors, vocalists and entertainers to the community.

Wyee Public School Band

The Wyee School Band was established in 2015 and has grown in numbers this year. Mr Rodney Paul  tutors all students throughout the day and the whole band comes together at the end of the day rehearsing a range of pieces.

Wyee School Band competed in Bandfest in 2015 and came 3rd in the novice section with students looking forward to competing again this year.
